Phil Theesfeld has been representing insurance companies in property, workers compensation and medical payment subrogation matters for over 20 years. An experienced trial attorney, he has guided several cases to successful verdicts and is one of only a handful of Wisconsin attorneys to have prevailed in a Rimes (made-whole) trial. Beyond the courtroom, Phil has participated in over 1,000 mediations during his career, and has developed the skills and relationships which allow him to consistently negotiate excellent recoveries for his clients. Outside the courtroom, Phil helps clients respond promptly to catastrophic losses, coordinating scene examinations and making sure that the right parties are put on notice. He works closely with fire investigators, electrical and mechanical engineers and materials experts to make sure that losses are investigated thoroughly and cost-effectively.

In 2005, Phil founded the Wisconsin Office of Yost & Baill and is its managing partner. Since then, it has grown to become one of Wisconsin’s leading subrogation firms, dedicated to the highest levels of customer service.

Phil has been actively involved in the National Association of Professionals for many years. He has served as co-chair of the Wisconsin Chapter of NASP, and on the WI Chapter’s Board of Directors. Phil is a frequent presenter at NASP local and national conferences on a variety of subrogation topics. In 2013, Phil was the recipient of the Spirit of NASP Award in recognition of his enthusiastic support and work on behalf of the subrogation industry.

Phil is a proud husband to Melissa and father to Megan, Grace Marie and Camden.
